I had all four seasons within the last two days.. Croatia was more then cold and spring was nowhere to find.. I must say it feels good to be back in Cape Town. The autumn is in the air and the days are shorter. Time to get back into the studio, get back on the feet and socialize!

This post is all bout feet.. well, better said about socks. Chelsea and Alison are creators behind FEAT and the girls who are sharing some space in our studio. They showcased their cool designs at Design Indaba and are now busy getting their socks into stores. It was a busy day yesterday, a complete overwhelm of colours, shapes, patterns, people and design items…wow! I couldn’t talk or walk anymore.. But the buyers day is a much needed part of the expo, as one has the time to meet and greet, to look and gape at all the creativity around. Yes some exhibitors are always there with similar styles as the previous years, as this is their opportunity to sell their products, but for me the beauty lays in the discovery of the unexpected and fresh. There is something in the air that makes one want to be part of, inhale it and immerse in it. Here are some first impressions as well as items that stood out for me, some to include in my online shop and wholesale catalogue.

Sindiso Khumalo was finalist in last year’s Elle Rising Star Design Award and has now launched her first womenswear collection. The brand has a strong focus on contemporary textile print design, which combines bold African graphics with a sophisticated minimalist construction. I love the colour
combinations and patterns!

I have introduced my amazingly creative friend Hien Le about a year ago. And now he’s just shot the latest Spring/Summer Collection 2013.. playing with the same signature minimalistic lines, stunning fabrics and colours. I’m in love with each piece.. hope you do to!
